Reed Secure are working in alignment with a Public Protection and Prevention Service in Warrington. They have a temporary requirement for a Regulatory and Compliance Officer to join them initially for 2-months.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the upmost food hygiene standards are met, undertaking a full range of food hygiene inspections in line with the food law code of practice. You will be liaising with team colleagues, other Local Authorities, Government agencies, statutory & voluntary bodies, other departments, the commercial sector and the general public as required.
Key requirements.
- Visit, inspect and report on premises of the Borough where Food Safety legislation applies and to record visits appropriately on the Council’s database.
- Investigate complaints and monitor all types of works in progress at relevant premises.
- Offer business advice, guidance and support to encourage compliance, including where necessary instigating formal action.
- Flexible if the need arises to carry out the role outside of normal working hours.
About you.
- Evidence of an advanced level of knowledge and application of the legislation and guidance relating to Food Safety and associated areas.
- Experience of delivering high standards of customer care
- Substantial experience of regulation and enforcement
- Experience of handling and protecting sensitive and confidential information
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health
- Has achieved registration with Environmental Health Registration Board; OR Chartered
- Environmental Health Practitioner status with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
- Be able to demonstrate that you meet the Statutory Competence requirements for an Authorised Officer under the Food Law Code of Practice.
