Relationship Development Director
Leeds
As a Barclays Relationship Development Director, you will work within the Mid-Corporate Banking team which supports around 6000 customers in the UK with an annual turnover of over £6.5 million. You will be based in the Leeds area and the role in question has a wider business development remit in addition to a Business Services industry specialism. The team is assisted by 8 associated bankers and there is a focus on face to market and increasing brand awareness.

What will you be doing?
• Leading and managing a portfolio of Business Services clients and developing the portfolio through increasing wallet share
• Accounting for an enhanced focus on winning new business and growing market share
• Providing excellent customer service and building deep customer relationships
• Ensuring effective risk management and compliance of existing customers and new opportunities
• Establishing and growing their profile as a recognised local expert in the industry
• Co-ordinating with colleagues across the Barclays group as appropriate
• Acting as a Business Development lead within the team and providing one face to market by liaising with other segments of the Bank
What we're looking for:
• Experience of working in a corporate business environment
• Basic grasp of the corporate banking suite of products (cash management, liquidity management, lending products)
• Excellent business development skills including recognising Customer's needs, negotiation skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Competence of mandatory Risk policies and procedures relating to credit conformance and regulatory, operational, and legal risks

We are based right in the centre of Leeds which is the fourth largest financial centre and one of the fastest growing, greenest cities in the country. Leeds has the second highest concentration of knowledge intensive jobs which means the team, the office and the city all have a real buzz. The fantastic location has a deli bar with roof top patio. It is within sight of the train station and is also easily accessible either by bus, or by using the park and ride or our heavily discounted scheme with QPark if travelling by car.
