Relationship Director

City Elite Recruitment are seeking 2 Relationship Directors, for a globally recognised bank based in the Edinburgh area.

Responsibilities:

• In accordance with the Corporate and Commercial Banking strategy, oversee a portfolio of clients with an emphasis on client acquisition, maintenance, relationship building, business growth, and retention in addition to risk management in all its forms.
• Advance particular measures that mitigate or minimise risks that have been identified.
• A thorough understanding of how risk and return are related, with the ability to analyse returns on lending arrangements for clients and prospects using Bank models.
• Has a digital mentality while taking on a role, making use of digital tools like nCino, Salesforce, and digital onboarding. Ensuring that all customer and bank data is kept intact, and that timely meeting records are prepared, accurately representing the significant talks that have taken place with clients and prospects.
• Flexible and agile approach that actively challenges and makes recommendations for system and process enhancements.
• Charged with making sure credit sanctions are appropriately implemented and completely and accurately represented in legal documentation.
• Accountability for line management. Provide evidence of relationship managers and key stakeholder growth, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to independently execute and structure transactions based on experience in corporate banking.
• Functional familiarity with Office 365 and Salesforce or comparable CRM solutions.
• In-depth understanding of treasury management and the larger corporate banking industry, as well as advanced credit risk awareness.
• Extensive understanding of the corporate market and its regulations, which is used to generate new company prospects while guaranteeing standards and policies are followed.
• Has a relevant Financial Services qualification, or is pursuing one.
