My client, a well-known membership organisation/ Professional Body are seeking a Relations Deputy Manager to join their clients Marketing and Business Development team based in the West End. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maximising income while keeping the target audiences’ best interests at heart. This position involves stepping in for the Corporate Relations Manager when necessary and supporting the overall goals of the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and relationships are maintained.
- Manage plans, budgets, and staff in the absence of the Corporate Relations Manager.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Relations Manager with management.
- Assist in the creation of reports as required.
- Attend key meetings and represent the organisation professionally.
- Engage with potential clients to negotiate long-term agreements and generate revenue.
- Adhere to the organisation’s financial and contractual guidelines.
- Work with members and stakeholders to develop products and services that appeal to sponsors and partners.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to increase revenue.
- Enhance the organisation’s visibility and reputation.
- Network and build new relationships.
- Ensure the successful and profitable execution of each project.
- Assist the Corporate Relations Manager in maintaining a comprehensive database of contacts.
- Perform additional tasks as required for the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a membership organisation or professional body.
- Strong understanding of marketing and business development principles.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience in budget management and reporting.
- Skilled in negotiation and securing sponsorship deals.
