Relationship Manager | S2 | Commercial and Corporate Banking Country: United Kingdom

As a Relationship Manager you will s upport a Relationship Director with the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients which include lending relationships. This will cover the East of England region in our Corporate Clients segment.

You will demonstrate a client focused approach to deliver day to day operational solutions for existing and new clients, working collaboratively with other areas of Santander UK to achieve this.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Developing a good understanding of the Corporate Banking sector and keep abreast of the wider economic and business environment

  • Assisting Relationship Directors with customer & prospective customer plans and originating opportunities

  • Developing a good understanding of products and services available to support Corporate and Commercial Clients

  • Giving support to the Relationship Director with the management and monitoring of the customer portfolio including daily account excesses, timely receipt of financial information, annual review process, covenant monitoring and flagging potential risks

  • Preparing returns analysis on lending deals for customers and prospects; and understand the relationship between risk and return

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a Relationship Management role within a Retail or Corporate banking environment

  • Knowledge of end to end commercial lending processes and onboarding new business clients including Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering processes

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Ability to understand financial statements

  • A digital mindset with experience in using digital tools such as Salesforce, nCino and digital onboardings

  • Stakeholder management skills

  • Aspiration to develop within the role and take ownership of Personal Development and building profile. Identify areas of improvement and come up with a development action plan
