About the role:
Astute's Power team is partnering with a world-wide Sugar Producer to recruit a Reliability Engineer for its site in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:

• Be the site expert for the condition monitoring techniques including vibration analysis, thickness testing, thermography, oil analysis and ultrasonic thickness testing.
• Be responsible for the selection and use of various condition monitoring techniques, based on best practice and liaising with subject experts.
• Collate information from vibration analysis testing and produce reports interpreting the results, with maintenance strategies put in place off the back of the findings.
• Develop and review various condition monitoring routes and routines.
• Supervise a Lubrication Technician, providing support when necessary.
• Always work to the highest health and safety standards.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• An Engineering background with relevant qualification, such as Mechanical Engineer
• A CAT-I or CAT-II qualification for Vibration Analysis would be highly desirable.
• Experience on a similar heavy industrial environment (CHP / Power generation etc).
• Experience working on a site with multiple work areas and operational and non-operational periods would be hugely beneficial.

The Reliability Engineer role would suit someone who has:

• Proven ability to manage complex and conflicting requirements in an industrial environment.
• The ability to build strong working relationships.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
