Job Title: Relief Dial-A-Ride Driver Attendant - South Hertfordshire

Salary Range: £23,114 with the opportunity to progress to £23,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time) (£11.98 per hour)
Hours: 30 per week

Do you want to help elderly and/or disabled people in your local community? In this role you will be responsible for providing a safe, friendly and reliable door to door transport service for people unable to access other public transport.
Purpose of the Role:
The objective of the post holder is to cover the regular driver when they are absent from duties, this could be countywide.
You will be responsible for transporting service users to various locations across Hertfordshire. You will also be responsible for collecting passenger fares and depositing cash.
Challenges and opportunities:
You will need to be able to assist passengers on and off the vehicle including wheelchair users and be able to work unsupervised with a 'can do’ attitude.
To follow pre-prepared routes, ensuring timings are kept to schedule, and passengers are transported safely and efficiently as well as collect passenger fares.
Technical skills and qualifications required for the role:
You must be a confident and safe driver with experience in driving both manual and automatic vehicles. You must be licenced to drive minibus-type vehicles with a D1 category licence. A driving assessment will be required, if offered the position.
