We are looking to recruit a Relief Library and Information Assistant primarily for Holt Library but to cover other libraries in the area too.

Norfolk Library & Information Service has just the job for you! We are looking to recruit a Relief Library and Information Assistant primarily for Holt Library but to cover other libraries in the area too.

From babies to business start-ups, from families to young people, adults and older people, our Library Service is committed to supporting everyone in Norfolk to read for pleasure and to access information and a wide range of social activities that will help them live healthy, fulfilling, and independent lives.

If you are confident with IT, enjoy engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds and LOVE a good book, West Norfolk Libraries need you!

The role will involve some time when you work on your own, but you will receive plenty of training for this and every other aspect of this interesting and rewarding role.

The need to be flexible and available at short notice is essential as your role will be to cover sickness absence as well as staff holidays and training. This post is on a casual basis with no guaranteed weekly hours, but will include evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
