About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Relief Youth Development Workers to join our Support team covering the Redruth, Camborne and Penzance area, in our supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25.
We take a strength-based approach, where we encourage young people experiencing homelessness to aim high, dream big and fulfil their ambitions.
You will be providing key worker support to our young people. Working through support and action plans, updating risk assessments and risk management plans with them, in order for them to develop the life skills necessary to move on and live independently in the community.
One of the great things about this role is being able to bring your own personality. Our young people come from a wide range of backgrounds, and we try to mirror that in our staff team.
There are a variety of Shifts which includes day, night and weekend working on an ad hoc basis to cover annual leave and sickness absence. You will be part of a team on site supporting the young people, however the roles include some elements of lone working.
This is being offered on a relief contract basis, working flexibly to include days, nights, and weekends as and when cover is required.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
