About Us:We are working with a small nurturing unit in the heart of Croydon. Staff at the school are committed to providing an exceptional education that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and personal development, they are seeking a passionate and experienced RS Teacher to join their dedicated team. You will be working with small groups of students who are not able to attend a mainstream school for reasons such as social anxieties or SEMH needs.
Position Overview:They are looking for a dynamic and inspiring RE Teacher to lead their department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding lessons, nurturing talent, and instilling a passion for learning in their students. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 4, to support those working towards their GCSEs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging RS lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Implement a range of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Contribute to the development of the RS curriculum.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback to students on their work.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular initiatives and enrichment activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant degree Religious Studies or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching RS at the secondary level, in particular GCSE level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to promoting the ethos and values of the school.
