Remote Senior ASP.NET Developer

Our global EdTech client is seeking a Senior ASP.NET Developer to join their team.

The Senior ASP.NET Developer will work 100% remotely from anywhere in the UK.

MFK Recruitment has previously recruited 2 Software Engineers to this company, both individuals are still with the company and really enjoying their roles!

The company is growing rapidly, both organically and inorganically, and has successfully completed four acquisitions in the past year. They have a diverse and world-class team poised for their next phase of rapid growth. 

We are looking for an experienced and versatile Senior Web Developer proficient in ASP.NET to spearhead the development and maintenance of my client’s web applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience and understanding of back-end technologies, a passion for crafting solutions to complex problems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Senior ASP.NET Developer – Main Responsibilities:

• Assessment: Evaluate the existing codebase and identify areas that require improvement of refactoring to meet current standards and requirements
• Requirements Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather requirements for projects
• Architecture design: Design an updated architecture or modify the existing one to ensure scalability, maintainability and performance
• Code refactoring: Refactor existing code to improve readability, modularity, and efficiency, adhering to coding standard and best practices
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application through optimization techniques such as catching, database tuning and code optimization
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for the application, including technical specifications, architecture diagrams and user guides

Senior ASP.NET Developer – Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in ASP.NET
• Proficiency in ASP.NET framework (they currently use version 4.8) and it’s core principles including object-orientated programming
• Knowledge of MySQL and IIS on Windows Server
• Proficient in GIT
• You embrace the Agile values and have experience working in Scrum
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
