Renewables Project Development Manager (Remote UK, with travel as required)

Fantastic opportunity to join a Renewable Energy Developer as a Project Development Manager in the UK business. You'll be joining an organisation who deliver renewable energy assets, engineering and administrative services across Wind, PV Solar and Storage projects and they currently have more than 10 GW of wind, solar and storage under active development.

We're looking for Development Managers who can offer experience in the development and management of renewable energy projects. This should include a demonstrable track record of successfully managing the development of multiple projects, with a focus on pre- & post consent stage up to financial close.

You should be able to offer an understanding of the commercial/environmental/regulatory challenges facing all stages of PV/wind/BESS Project Development and the renewable energy industry.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ownership of and managing the development of a solar/wind/BESS project within budget from any stage to get it to a ready to build state, including dealing with any appeal process and discharge of relevant planning conditions.
• Coordinate project team (internal & external) activities insuring key milestones are met.
• Ensure financial and technical targets are met in delivering projects.
• Suitably plan, organise, monitor and report on all phases of projects life cycle.
• Manage and report on all project risks, ensuring management are kept fully abreast of any significant development.
• Alignment of project decisions to the efforts of Power Marketing, specifically in response to changing energy policy.
• Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g. planning authorities, community relations, statutory consultees, landowners, grid network operators) and represent the company in a professional and competent manner.
• Liaise with internal company stakeholders as required and ensure all corporate policies are fully adhered too.
• Carry out other "ad-hoc" activities required to achieve the company's objectives.

Relevant experience, skills and attributes:

• Recent experience in the development and management of RE projects and a demonstrable track record of successfully managing the development of multiple projects, with a focus on pre- & post consent stage up to financial close.
• Understanding of the commercial/environmental/regulatory challenges facing all stages of PV/wind/BESS Project Development and the renewable energy industry.
• A basic understanding of financial aspects of power generation projects with experience of working closely with financial analysts in the preparation and updating of financial models
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• You feel comfortable dealing with multiple projects and multiple task at the same time, you are organised and can manage deadlines on time involving different stakeholders.
• You have both the ability to keep a high level view of the existing projects and the ability to deep dive quickly without losing sight of the big picture.
• Most importantly you need to have a genuine interest to work in the renewable and energy infrastructure that is pushing you to exceed and excel over a very fast and dynamic work environment.
