A dynamic and self-motivated experienced Insurance Underwriter is being sought by my award-winning Insurance company to join the Underwriting team at its Head Office in Polegate.
The Insurance Underwriter will assist in the increase of sales, while using underwriting skills and company deals to place increased volumes of business.
Duties will be to:
- Provide help and advice to Sales Advisors in respect of underwriting queries
- Underwrite all new business and renewal risks
- Assist in renewal retention as a company and within specific underwriting deals and partners
- Develop relationships with all Insurers at the required level
- Monitor the development of accounts and profitability
- Complete regular reviews of the market in terms of competitiveness and spot new product areas and ranges for the business to develop into
- Support Team Managers in developing underwriting knowledge of their teams
- Maintain spreadsheets on Insurer discounting to ensure we manage schemes effectively
The successful candidate will have at least three years of insurance experience, have a good working knowledge of of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, and the ability to be flexible, decisive and quick-thinking.
