Roles & Responsibilities:
Education Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, manufacturing, preferred).
Capability Requirements:
Familiarity with gas turbines and after-market maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) processes. Experience with analysing and substantiating component non-conformance in new production or aftermarket.
In addition, the engineer must be capable of performing the following:
- Ownership of repair development and analysis of assigned components.
- Collaborate with support functions as required (design, stress, lifing, materials, programme).
- Ensure assigned components meet, cost and all technical requirements to deploy repair solutions to MRO.
- Familiarity with requirements of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals).
- Generate change in repair development documents and engine repair manual change requests.
- Interface with global engineering organizations and other internal design organizations as required to support design activity on assigned components.
Computer Requirements:
PC-based Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PLM Teamcenter, Salesforce, and other non-specified Customer applications to complete Repair engineering activities.
