Kirklees Council are looking for Repairs Surveyors to create detailed surveys on various local government properties, reporting on damp & mould, disrepair, rising damp and general repairs.
You will provide technical expertise on all aspects of building maintenance and surveying, including preparation of detailed specifications, planning and monitoring work, and contribute towards the Asset Management Plan.
Day to Day of the Role:- Conduct stock condition surveys and contribute to asset management and investment strategies.
- Provide specialist advice on domestic gas heating, electrical services, damp, timber infestations, and structural defects.
- Manage specialist works related to the above areas.
- Deliver operational aspects of the relevant service/business area.
- Work collaboratively to monitor, analyse, and deliver improvements to increase customer satisfaction.
- Prepare professional communications and participate in service reviews and planning.
- Organise and prioritise workload, including technical advice provision and risk management.
- Experience with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering targets and goals within operational plans.
- Good team working skills and the ability to work independently to achieve results.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding legislation.
- Computer literacy and experience with database maintenance.
