Further information about the University can be found The Role and the Department The Chief Financial Officers Division have just gone through a major change to implement a new Finance and Procurement system. This has created the need to set up a new Reporting Service to support Finance and Procurement departments and the wider University with their transactional, management and other reporting needs. This role is an exciting opportunity to learn about the wide range of finance and procurement activities that are carried out within the department and throughout the University. The role will consist of adjusting and developing basic reports across multiple reporting tools, provide training, report and system testing, system administration for Oracle EPM and ensuring data integrity. Being part of the Finance and Procurement Reporting Service includes the opportunity to work flexibly and in a hybrid format. We also support continuous learning and development. Development Role This role may be considered as a development role at a Grade 5. The successful candidate will have the ability and potential to develop the organisation development attributes and skills at Grade 6 by undertaking a development plan. The development plan will be created in conjunction with the successful candidate, focusing on the requirements of the Grade 6 role, and taking into account their individual needs. This plan will be regularly reviewed and form the basis of the assessment to move to the Grade 6 role, the length of the development period will be discussed and agreed on appointment of the successful candidate. While undertaking the development role the post-holder will undertake the role requirements of a Grade 5 Systems & Reporting Analyst the job description for which is available here. Upon successful completion of the development programme and plan, the post-holder would move to the Grade 6 post Systems & Reporting Assistant Manager. If the post-holder is unable to meet the full requirements of the Grade 6 post at the end of the development process, subject to performance, they may be retained in the Grade 5 post.
