What will you be doing?

As a Requirements Engineer, you will be joining our team in Milton Keynes to support our activities within the automotive engineering industry. Your day-to-day activities will involve working closely with different stakeholders to develop requirements, specifications and test plans which will assist with the EV development programme.

Your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather and document vehicle requirements, seeking formal approval.
• Specification and requirement among relevant stakeholders
• Partner closely with the Test & Development team to establish a structured documentation framework for Design Verification Plan (DVP).
• Leverage requirements to contribute to the development of test plans when necessary.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 3-8 years in software engineering roles, preferably with an automotive background.
• Demonstrated expertise in EV vehicle development.
• Proven skill in formulating precise specifications and requirements.
• Proficient understanding of HV component design and construction, including inverters, DC/DC converters, contactors, etc.
• Practical knowledge of battery management systems (BMS).
• Familiarity with HV battery safety concepts, including HVIL, MSDs, and HV Isolation.
• Adherence to high standards of documentation and organizational practices.
