Job Responsibilities for this Research And Development Scientist/Engineer
- Directly reporting to the Research and Technology Director. Leading and/or supporting R&D and New Product Development projects. These involve diverse technology and materials processes continually collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Engage in a blend of office-based projects, R&D and engineering tasks. All the while carrying out hands-on workshop/laboratory assignments for the purpose of R&D
- Represent the company at conferences, video meetings, and international exhibitions.
- Cultivate a fundamental understanding of novel engineering processes and materials. Crucially, applying this knowledge to design, build, install, and test new equipment in collaboration with design and production teams.
- Support or lead R&D programs and projects in collaboration with leading universities and industry partners.
- Conduct computational modelling (i.e. CFD, FEA) to enhance process understanding, working closely with partners.
- Provide support to other business functions (design, sales, purchasing) as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required for this Research and Development Scientist/ Engineer Job
- You will hold a qualification in a relevant subject such as Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Physics, or a PhD in Material Science, Metallurgy, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or Physical Chemistry.
- The company is open to applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and levels of experience. From recent PhD graduate students to Senior Engineers looking to cement their careers in a leading Engineering and Scientific company.
- You will possess strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with all levels of the business and external clients.
