The company is a leading provider of strategic market intelligence and consulting services to the flourishing offshore renewable energy and subsea power cables sectors. The company creates value for customers by providing them with the market knowledge and insights needed for tactical and strategic decision making.

Their clients include established market players and pioneering new entrants from across the entire value-chain. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated researcher to join the company’s specialist Market Research Team.

You will take on a varied role supporting the company’s market leading offshore wind research team.

You will assist the team to develop detailed insights on global offshore wind markets and trends in offshore wind technologies.

About You

• You may not have a degree, but you have a good set of exam results and a passion to succeed.
• You are an organised and careful worker with a good eye for detail.
• You enjoy technical topics and are interested in joining the offshore wind industry.
• You have excellent writing skills and are happy reading lots of material and extracting the most relevant information into a short summary.
• You are a confident communicator who is keen to get to the bottom of a problem by engaging on the telephone with industry players.
• You enjoy diving into details and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring offshore wind project progress and reporting on project updates
• Tracking offshore vessel activity and maintaining vessel databases
• Monitoring contract awards and maintaining contract databases
• Keeping on top of the busy schedule of industry events and reports being published, and communicating these to the team
• Identifying missing information and filling gaps
• Supporting the Market Research Team on bespoke projects and deep-dive investigations.
• Quality control and completeness of information systems.
• Engage with industry by developing a personal network of relationships across the supply chain. Be proactive with telephone and webinar engagement to pursue the latest information.

Requirements

• A self-starter with a can-do attitude who takes responsibility for the completeness and quality of their work.
• A solid secondary education and a passion to succeed
• Excellent writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills. Comfortable with cold-calling in order to gather insights.

Remuneration:

From £24,500 - £27,000 per annum for full time office based (Lowestoft) position, depending on experience.
