Start Date: 1 April 2024 Fixed Term: 27 months Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Professor Patrick Miller conducting research for a project entitled 3S4 - Effect of continuous active sonar and longer duration sonar exposures in killer whales and humpback whales funded jointly by US Navy Living Marine Resources and Defence Research and Development Canada. The primary duties will be to prepare for and participate in a research trial studying whales in Norwegian waters, processing and analysis of the obtained data, and preparing project reports and manuscripts related to the findings of the project. The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in Biology with expertise in Marine Mammal Biology and Biologging Science. The post is available for 27 months starting 1 April 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
