Reed Scientific are recruiting for a Research Scientist from a Chemistry background, on a full time, permanent basis, to join a growing company who are developing clean and sustainable technologies in the recycling industry. They look at challenges facing the industry from a different perspective and think differently about how things are done today, and where they can be improved.
The Research Scientist will be responsible for completing research projects and will provide support to the rest of the laboratory team.
Responsibilities in the role:
- Assist and lead research and development of new processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in writing new SOPs and risk assessments based on researched work.
- Data input – inputting information from the owned process onto shared documents for tracking.
- Assist colleagues across departments.
- Follow and maintain H&S standards, including maintaining and cleaning of the laboratory and the equipment
Qualifications and experience required:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related Scientific discipline
- IT proficiency
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing to support team members and cover for any absences
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
