Job description

Working in a dynamic reservations department you will supervise a small and friendly team and ensuring that seamless and efficient processes are in place for reservations. You will be responsible for driving innovation and continuous improvement, striving for excellence in every member and guest interaction.

The opportunity also involves implementing proactive checks to ensure accurate charging for bookings, timely follow-up on no-shows and cancellations, and correct rate strategies on websites.
The role:
* Supervise and lead a team of reservations agents, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of productivity and customer service excellence.
* Oversee and manage the reservation system or booking software, ensuring that it is up-to-date, accurate, and fully functional.
* Work closely with the Front of House Manager, Assistant Front of House Manager, and Reception Manager to maximise operational excellence and alignment between Reservations and Reception teams.
* Develop and coach your team members, supporting their learning and professional transformation through effective performance reviews and learning and development plans
* Ensure that reservations processes and practices adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Provide effective communication in weekly trading meetings, and operational meetings to facilitate the implementation of sales strategies and seamless coordination between departments.
Foster strong relationships between reservations agents and other departments, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
* Actively engage with members, guests, potential clients, suppliers, and members of the local community to understand their needs and build lasting relationships
You must have the following:
* Proven experience in reservations management within hotels.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
* Proficiency in reservation systems and booking platforms.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with revenue management concepts is essential.
