We are recruiting for a Reservations Manager to join the team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Forest of Arden.  

 

Forest of Arden is set on a 10,000-acre estate in the heart of the Midlands, surrounded by ancient woodlands, natural lakes, and varieties of wildlife, including the famous deer that live in the majestic countryside setting. Forest of Arden is recognized as one of the premier golf destinations in the UK with two fantastic 18-hole golf courses offering unparalleled opportunities for golfers of all abilities.  Offering 214 rooms, 18 meeting rooms including a marquee offering events up to 350 people and Leisure facilities, this hotel has a strong reputation in the local market.

 

The Role:

 

As Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for the soliciting and managing the reservations sales related opportunities.  You will actively upsell at each opportunity to maximise revenue whilst driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence.

 

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

 

  • Identifies new reservations sales business to achieve personal and property revenue goals
  • Understands the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
  • Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy
  • Responds to incoming reservations sales opportunities for the property
  • Tracks no-show reservations and processes charges as needed
  • Liaises with the Front Office Manager and Housekeeping on arrivals, group bookings and special requests to ensure a memorable guest experience
  • Trains and develops the reservations agents and front office team
  • Monitors overbooking situations and manages these accordingly
  • Works closely with the Revenue Manager to understand sales targets and strategies
