We’re looking to fill multiple roles nationwide and are offering you the unique opportunity to make a difference, somewhere different as a Junior Doctor/Resident Medical Officer.

You'll have access to continued education and ongoing supervision and all Districts have something unique to offer including a range of experiences and specialties to suit your training needs.

You’ll also receive the standard entitlements given to workers in New Zealand, including 10 days of sick leave per year, and four weeks of annual leave per week.

To work in New Zealand, you will require registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, as well as a current Annual Practicing Certificate. If you are an overseas-trained doctor you will need to check your eligibility for registration with the MCNZ to practice medicine in New Zealand. Under the General Scope of Practise, there are 3 eligible pathways; New Zealand and Australian graduates' pathways, the competent pathway and the Comparable health system pathway.

About the Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill multiple roles across New Zealand. We have roles available to suit everyone, including flexible working, full-time, part-time and casual opportunities.

Join us as:

? A House Officer: Suitable for Foundation Year 2 (FY2) or Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) or above. House Officers have the most significant exposure to various services, rotating every 3 months.

? A Senior House Officer/Registrar: Aligned to a single service and suitable for RMOs in their Post Graduate Year 3 (PGY3) or above - rotating every 4 or 6 months.

? A Fellow: Suitable for sub-specialty trainees who are nearing the completion of their specialist training and are working toward independent practice as a Senior Medical Officer.

Resident Medical Officers are on Tier 1 of New Zealand's Green List which means you are eligible for the Straight to Residence Visa and can apply for New Zealand residency before you arrive, provided you have a job offer from us.
