Residential Life Manager Location: Brighton Salary: Starting at £37,099 to £44,263 per annum The University is situated just off of the A27, next to the beautiful South Downs where you will enjoy everything that their 150-acre campus has to offer. The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Universitys innovative Residential Life Team located in brand new offices on campus. They have two vacancies for managers in their small, friendly service which would be perfect for anyone who is enthusiastic about creating a home and community for young people joining the University for the first time. You will provide wellbeing support to the students living on campus and also co-create a vibrant Residential Life Programme with a lively team of Connectors drawn from the current student population. This programme aims to foster a sense of belonging and promotes student engagement in a supportive, respectful and friendly campus community through shared enterprise, education, and entertainment. The Universitys 50 Residential Life Connectors are jointly managed by the Residential Life Managers. Skills and Experience Enthusiastic about working with young people Qualified to degree level (Desirable) Full of ideas about events and activities to engage young people into university life. Experience of providing welfare or mental health support with relevant training. Experience of managing mental health crises is desirable, as is a calm and resilient approach to high pressure situations. Have the ability and experience to manage and train staff in addition to working to professional boundaries while dealing with both students and student staff. Have confidence to work independently and also to support other team members. Have a meticulous approach to administration is required to maintain the case management systems. Experience of working in a residential environment could be advantageous.
