JOB TITLE: Residential Support Worker
Salary: GBP22,152 - GBP26,520 per annum
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Residential Manager
LOCATION: Northampton, NN6
LIAISES WITH: Residential Manager, Deputy Manager, Care Workers, Educational and multi-disciplinary teams across the organisation and external providers and partnership organisations.
Job Summary
You will be responsible for providing day to day care for our Young People, whether this is supporting them in activities, education or statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. You will work as part of a dedicated, caring team to ensure the homes are kept to a good standard, to include cooking and cleaning and of course safeguarding their welfare at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with young people, aged approximately 12 to 17, who have challenging behaviors
- Good standard of written and spoken English, sufficient to write records and reports
- Basic arithmetic
- Knowledge of the problems that children and young people face
- Knowledge of the effects on young people of abuse and oppression
- NVQ Level 3: Caring for Children and Young People is desirable but not essential.
