We have contracts available in Dumfries and Galloway working with a young people in their own homes. supporting day to day life a long with a like minded team of support workers. Shift patterns tend to be 2 long days with a sleepover in between followed by 2 days off, flexibility can be given where needed.

We are looking for experienced individuals who have previously working in a residential setting or with young people with autism and learning difficulties. You will be promoting independence and providing support with cooking, meds and day to day activities.

A successful child support worker will be responsible for:

• Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers
• Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
• Supporting service users in rural cottage
• Promoting a positive parenting role model
• Ensuring professional boundaries are in place

To be successful in your application, you will:

• Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
• Have strong communication skills
• Register under the PVG scheme
• Full driving licence
• Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
