Job Description
One Step Care are looking for a confident staff member with at least an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care and who is able to build strong relationships with young people and work in a solution focus way. This opportunity is for a Residential Support Worker to work in our brand new Children's Home with up to four young people, aged 10-18 years old. Our home will accommodate children and young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.
Our aims are to; provide a safe, secure, homely, and positive environment for the children in our Home, to make sure they are supported and nurtured in reaching their full potential, to assist in the continuous improvement and development of the quality, image and reputation of the Home and for our Company.

Who we are looking for:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a wider team to assess each child’s needs, implementing individual care plans and providing a level of supervision and support. You will build close relationships with the children in our home, supporting their life’s, hobbies, education, and relationships outside of the home.
As a member of our team it is important you have a great sense of humour, you are fun to be around and have the ability to work flexibly to achieve the best outcomes for our children.
The successful applicant will be required to supervise and support children and young people. Helping to develop and maintain their skills to live independent and fulfilled lives and to ensure that the support provided meets the needs of the child and promotes their individual rights, choice and independence.

Desirable Requirements
Hold a transferable DBS
Ability to drive and hold a current full driving licence;
Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding
Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent
* Salary £30,800 and £31,840 are based on 40 hours per week and a minimum of 2 sleep in shifts per week.
