C7 Surveyors is a company of Chartered Building Surveyors providing professional and insightful advice on property related issues. We are seeking a RICS Chartered Building Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience to join our team of surveyors preparing Expert Witness reports for housing condition and disrepair claims. We recognise that you might be an experienced residential surveyor and we will offer you the support in this new role to develop and become one of the best.
Requirements
- The Candidate must be an MRICS or FRICS chartered surveyor, with 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- The Candidate must have proven experience carrying out domestic surveys, with an understanding of housing defect diagnosis.
- The ideal Candidate will have experience preparing reports in line with Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenants Act & Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.
- A full UK driving licence, access to a car and the ability to travel. We have work all across England and South Wales, but we are currently looking for support in and around the Yorkshire area. There is the option for more work if the candidate can travel to different locations.
- Strong IT skills, good competency within Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- The role will be focused on carrying out Expert Witness services related to housing disrepair. This requires the surveyor to undertake inspections, write up findings in a Scott Schedule and prepare a report.
- The role will also include work related to Fitness for Human Habitation.
- The Candidate will be required to travel to carry out surveys.
