Job description
The College provides residential accommodation for up to 217 students at its Cannington Campus. The Residential Team allocates residential places to students, provides 24/7 support for residential students and deals with issues ranging from accommodation queries to student entertainment and enrichment. The team's primary responsibility is the safeguarding of residential students. The residential provision was inspected by Ofsted under the Further education residential accommodation: national minimum standards in October 2022 and awarded Outstanding overall.
The purpose of this role is to co-ordinate and monitor the wellbeing of the College's residential learners.
A key element of the role will be to provide safeguarding support to all students in residential accommodation and work with students to mentor, self-assess, agree targets and review progress.
This role will also focus on engaging residential learners in a range of clubs and societies such as the Volunteering Committee, as well as compulsory residential sessions, in order to develop and enhance learners' personal, social and employability skills.
