SalaryAtrium Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a client for Support Workers to provide support to Children with Emotional Behaviour Disorders, Autism/ Learning Difficulties.
Duties:- Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a residential setting.- Implement and facilitate educational and recreational activities for youth.- Mentor and support youth in their personal and social development.- Collaborate with other staff members to create a safe and positive environment for youth.- Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, hygiene routines, and medication administration.- Maintain accurate documentation of youth progress and behavior.
Requirements:- Experience working with children or youth, preferably in a special education or similar setting.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with youth, their families, and other staff members.- Ability to provide guidance, support, and mentorship to youth.- Knowledge of educational principles and techniques to assist with tutoring and educational activities.- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors.- High level of patience, empathy, and understanding for the needs of youth.
- Valid UK driving license.
