Job description

Resource and Planning Manager

Salary: Grade B - £39,390 (National Framework) or £44,792 (London Framework – if you are London office-based or home-based and live within the boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £553 per annum for those working from home

Contracted Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week or compressed hours/job share will also be considered.

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing date: Sunday 7th July 2024 at 11.59 pm

Location: Home-based with regular meetings in London, Newcastle or Leeds offices.

What you will bring…

To be considered as a Resource and Planning Manager, you will need:

- Experience in delivering complex strategic projects and/or programmes that contain a significant element of business change and digital transformation
- Experience in managing resources and Planning activities in complex projects and programmes
- Experience in improving performance by coaching individuals and embedding new practices and standards
- Good knowledge of a wide range of programme/project methodologies
- A P3O Practitioner qualification
- A PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification
- A Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner qualification

What you’ll be doing

As a Resource and Planning Manager, you will manage the standards and underlying processes that ensure our project and programme resource requirements are identified, and resourcing strategies are met.

You will ensure that all projects and programmes have appropriate plans in place and oversee the development and maintenance of our overall portfolio plan, championing the use of best practice methods, templates, tools, and processes.

You will also work with colleagues in the Project Delivery and Business Change team, as well as senior stakeholders, to implement Resource and Planning standards.

Additionally, you will:

- Plan and chair structured Resource and Planning reviews
- Provide analysis to senior managers about the resources and Planning across the portfolio
- Manage Resource and Planning reporting activities across the portfolio
