Job Responsibilities
The planner is responsible for producing and maintaining medium term plans and weekly schedules for the production areas, taking into account customer needs and production capacity. Ensuring that the MRP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) is kept up to date and that materials are ordered in a timely manner in line with customer requirements and minimising inventory hold. Support production and other areas to ensure priorities are understood. Support the site Sales & Operation Planning process.
Required Skills & Experience

• Good IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Can think problems through in a logical and analytical manner, using data to make decision where possible.
• Good communication, influencing and team working skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience of planning / supply chain in a production environment
• Experience of using an MRP system (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Understanding of the requirements of GMP
• Good eye for detail
