Restaurant & Bar Manager

Stroud

Seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee the operations of our highly acclaimed rosette-rated restaurant. As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional dining experiences, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and driving the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership and management of the restaurant: including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.

  • Enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales:

  • Supervise and manage all restaurant staff: Effectively lead and motivate a comprehensive team of front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers. Ensure staff members are properly trained, equipped, and aligned with the restaurant's values and standards.

  • Conduct regular staff training sessions: Organize and facilitate training sessions to enhance staff knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards. Encourage continuous learning and development opportunities for team members.

  • Recruit, hire, and train new staff members

  • Manage the restaurant's budget: Maintain a sound financial management system, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and maximizing profitability. Monitor expenses, track revenue, and identify areas for cost-saving measures.

  • Monitor food costs and inventory levels: Effectively oversee the purchasing, storing, and managing of food and beverage items. Implement strategies to optimize food costs, maintain inventory levels, and minimize waste.

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food: Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of food items, adhering to recipes, standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.

  • Prepare and present reports to management: Provide regular reports to the Executive Chef/General Manager on restaurant operations, financial performance, and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Restaurant Manager in a fine-dining restaurant setting, with experience in a rosette-rated restaurant preferred

  • Proven track record of success in managing and leading a team of restaurant staff in a high-pressure environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized approach to work

  • Passion for fine dining and a commitment to excellence

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current culinary trends and practices
