Seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee the operations of our highly acclaimed rosette-rated restaurant. As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional dining experiences, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and driving the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and management of the restaurant: including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
Enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales:
Supervise and manage all restaurant staff: Effectively lead and motivate a comprehensive team of front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers. Ensure staff members are properly trained, equipped, and aligned with the restaurant's values and standards.
Conduct regular staff training sessions: Organize and facilitate training sessions to enhance staff knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards. Encourage continuous learning and development opportunities for team members.
Recruit, hire, and train new staff members
Manage the restaurant's budget: Maintain a sound financial management system, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and maximizing profitability. Monitor expenses, track revenue, and identify areas for cost-saving measures.
Monitor food costs and inventory levels: Effectively oversee the purchasing, storing, and managing of food and beverage items. Implement strategies to optimize food costs, maintain inventory levels, and minimize waste.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of food: Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of food items, adhering to recipes, standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
Prepare and present reports to management: Provide regular reports to the Executive Chef/General Manager on restaurant operations, financial performance, and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Restaurant Manager in a fine-dining restaurant setting, with experience in a rosette-rated restaurant preferred
Proven track record of success in managing and leading a team of restaurant staff in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented and highly organized approach to work
Passion for fine dining and a commitment to excellence
Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
