The Restaurant & Events Supervisor manages the food and beverage service of the Manor
Restaurant alongside the Head Server, reporting directly to the Head of F&B. Working closely
with the HF&B and the Executive Chef (EC), they are responsible for the visitor experience, and
coordinating all actions involving visitors such as welcoming guests, ordering, delivering the
food and beverages, and supervising financial transactions alongside the Head Server.
The Restaurant & Events Supervisor is also responsible for the efficient administration of
special events delivered by the Catering Department. Reporting to the Head of Food &
Beverage and working closely with the Head Server, outlet managers and the Head Chefs, the
Restaurant & Events Supervisor will oversee all aspects of paperwork and IT related to any
events. They will take responsibility in creating function sheets & ensuring appropriate
recharging.

visitor experience, with a keen eye for detail, an ability to priorities tasks, and a willingness to
exceed our visitors’ expectations. They will lead by example and be an ambassador of the
Rothschild Foundation and Waddesdon Manor. The Restaurant & Events Supervisor will be

Key Responsibilities:
Service
- The Restaurant & Events Supervisor manages the food and beverage service of the

Food Service
- Assist the Head Server and head chefs in ensuring the serving of the food produced in
- Ensure a high standard of hygiene throughout the spaces, including storerooms and food
Staff
The Restaurant & Events Supervisor is a senior member of the front of house (FOH) team and
with the Head Server will be jointly responsible for training junior staff in all aspects of service,
including upselling and cross-selling.
- Achieve optimum staffing levels throughout the year and assist with the training of front
induction training and encouraging the continued occupational development of staff
members.
- Assist in the motivation of the front of house staff to ensure an efficient and happy
- Assist with the staff rotas to cover daily requirements as well as covering special events
to changing staff levels needs, whether daily, weekly, or seasonally.
- Assist in the close monitoring of staff checking in and out daily and the collation of hours
- Assist with ensuring the highest standards of punctuality, appearance, service, behaviour,
Finance
Working with the Head of Food & Beverage in:
- Assist in ensuring that every effort is made to achieve budgeted sales and operational
planning and specification sheets.
- Assist in ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum and production is produced in line with
specification/recipe sheets.
- Comply with financial procedures such as hours imputing, change requests and portion
- Ensure takings and the reconciliation of tills with daily takings.
Events
Working with the Head of Food & Beverage in:
- Compiling all paperwork and events sheets that are related to any private event on site.
- Assist in ensuring that all events across property are staffed, supplied, and run efficiently,
- Being available for the service of scheduled private events.
This list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be required by the management team.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a restaurant supervisor.
- Passionate about people and customer service, with a customer focused mind-set.
- Personable and empathetic approach, with competent communication skills.
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for working in Food & Beverage and proud of the
- You hold yourself to a high standard and look for opportunities to improve things for
- You care about making people feel welcome and looked after.
- You have an eye for detail and understand that the little things make all the difference.
- Ability to holistically increase sales by engaging with customers.
- Understand how working as part of a team is the most effective way of succeeding and
developing within this role.

Terms & Conditions
Contract Type: Seasonal flexible (based on the needs of the business)
Salary: From the 1st April the following hourly rates apply:
£13.50 per hour
Double pay for working Bank Holidays
Hours: Main Season (March to October) opening times of 9am to 5pm
Winter Season (Nov to Jan) 10am to 7pm to accommodate light displays
A maximum of 42 hours per week on a Wednesday to Sunday rota, including
Public Holidays (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day) and the occasional
shift outside of the normal rota, as required by the business.
A minimum of 37 hours per week between April – December will be rostered
unless otherwise requested pre-hand to line manager.
Hours may vary and cannot be guaranteed. Your pay will reflect the hours you
Work (exclusive of breaks)
Hours of work to suit the needs of the business.
Annual Leave: Your statutory annual leave entitlement is 28 days (20 days plus 8 public
holidays), or 5.6 weeks. This will be pro-rated based on actual hours you work. If you work a
public holiday, you will be paid double your hourly rate, but your statutory annual leave
entitlement will reduce accordingly (i.e. you are being paid double on that date, so therefore
not entitled to holiday pay or TOIL far that date).
The Head Sever and Restaurant/Events Supervisor will be required to cover for each other’s
annual leave.
