Pay Grade: GBP24,715 to GBP28,131
Average Hours: 36.5 per week over 5 days with some weekend and evening work required
We are currently seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team based within Oxford Colleges. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within one of the Oxford University sites, primarily focusing on the main duties of the operation.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with restaurant management, including menu preparation, food labeling, and table plans
Pre-empting and resolving any potential issues related to catering services
Reporting incidents or accidents promptly
Supervising and supporting junior staff members
Ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service
Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to staff, visitors, and residents
Providing plated or silver service as needed
Attending events and conferences as a staff member
Duties may extend to external catering services at various locations around Oxford
Requirements:
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong leadership skils
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organizational abilities
Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude and enthusiasm
Knowledge of food safety and preparation
Bar experience is a plus (though not essential)
