The Team

Restructuring & Insolvency

Our Tier 1 ranked team (Chambers and Legal 500) was shortlisted in the 2023 Lawyer Awards and has extensive experience across a wide range of sectors - renewable energy, real estate, pensions, retail, leisure and the public sector – and most of our domestic work originates in London and the rest of the UK. For cross-border matters, we work closely with our preferred firm international network. We are active members of R3, INSOL, INSOL Europe, ILA, TMA and IWIRC.

Recent works includes advising:

FRP on the Wasps Holdings Group administration, FTI on the sale of Cote Restaurants, Clarks on its Restructuring, Birmingham Bio on its debt and equity restructuring, Deloitte as administrators of Adelie Foods, Bakers + Baristas on its CVA, BDO as administrators of Bathstore and Causeway Capital on the acquisition of Patisserie Valerie

  • Building the Culture: You'll deliver service excellence on all client matters and participate in cultural initiatives that underpin life at the firm, making Burges Salmon a great place to work.

What you'll need

  • Relevant experience working on restructuring and insolvency matters.
  • Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
  • Be self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
