Job description

Retail Area Support Manager
37.5 hours per week with flexibility and on call
As a result of an increase to our structure to meet the demands of an ever-expanding charity retail trading business (we have over 20 trading units in our portfolio), an exciting role has been developed to support our retail and trading ambitions.
The role will be part of the retail management team and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and performance of a designated portfolio of retail outlets.
The role will be responsible for the line management, development and wellbeing of staff and volunteers, proactively meeting or exceeding shops’ income, costs, service, and merchandising objectives whilst supporting the management of compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements, through a structured shop visit, ownership and follow up programme.
Out and about for some of the working week, the role will also maintain good relations with the local community to enhance the profile and reputation of the Hospice and contribute to the on-call cover requirements on a remunerated basis where these duties are undertaken outside of core hours.
Ideally suited to a multi-site retail professional or existing area or retail operations manager. Charity retail experience is not essential but would be desirable; we will consider applicants from other sectors with the appropriate experience, skills, and knowledge. As this role may need to work external to the hospice, a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
As one of the local leading providers of palliative and end of life care, St Andrew’s Hospice is a highly successful and forward-thinking charity with a turnover of over £5m, offering both adult and children’s services. With an excellent reputation both in the local community and beyond, we care for patients and their families in North East Lincolnshire and our wider catchment area of Lincolnshire, Hull, and East Yorkshire for our children’s services.
In return we offer you:
Incremental Pay
Paid Humber Bridge tolls
Salary sacrifice schemes
Contributory pension scheme
Death in service benefit 3 x salary
Career development opportunities
Generous annual leave allowance
Flexible working options
Attendance Reward Scheme
Long Service Reward Scheme
