AddressIf you would enjoy selling souvenirs and gifts to visitors of a busy art gallery, and if you have experience of retail and/or customer service, Kettle's Yard House and Gallery in Cambridge is looking for a new Retail Assistant to work in the gallery shop. You will work alongside the wider Front of House team to provide an integrated and coherent visitor experience throughout Kettle's Yard. In addition to the day to day running of the gallery shop, the Retail Assistant provides operational and administrative support to maintain an efficient, desirable and profitable retail offer both in store and online. Prior experience in a face-to-face customer service role or retail environment is essential. An interest in visual arts and knowledge of Kettle's Yard is also desirable.
This is a permanent zero-hour position, with work to be scheduled as and when needed, to provide cover for busy periods, annual and sick leave. Currently, we most often need cover for 3-hour lunch cover shifts on either Saturday or Sunday, so regular availability on at least one weekend day is essential.
