Geek Retreat Sunderland is a gaming café located in Sunderland city we specialise in everything TCG and tabletop. We operate 7 days a week and hold regular gaming events. As well as operating as a café/food venue and retailer.
We are looking to grow our team with a retail and catering assistant to work on a part-time permanent basis.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Serving and assisting customers
· Preparing food and drinks
· Contributing to social media channels for the business.
· Assisting with event coordination
· General cleaning and maintenance of the store
· Handling new stock (merchandising on the shelves)
· Providing a high level of customer service to all customers.
· Catering to all customer needs
· Running Geek Retreat Academy sessions (training will be provided).
Person specification:
· A positive attitude
· Strong work ethic
· Able to build a positive professional relationship with regular customers
· A people person
· A bit of a geek or a willingness to learn and develop a knowledge of the trading card products and other products that are sold in store
· Willingness to learn how to run events within the store with help and support from owners and supervisor.
