Retail Centre Manager wanted for an historical, vibrant Shopping Centre
Location: Kent
Salary: up to £55k + bonus
Job Summary:
Are you an experienced professional in the retail environment seeking a new and exciting opportunity to progress in your career? This opportunity is the chance to join a property management company and become the Centre Manager for a bustling, vibrant and historic Shopping Centre in the heart of Kent. You will optimise the performance of the shopping center through the implementation of excellent operational, drive events which is a core element of this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire Centre's operation, overseeing facilities services contractors,
and regularly liaising with tenants, providing a high level of customer service.
Create a positive shopping experience, whilst also having full engagement with all
stakeholders.
Manage, lead and inspire a team to deliver optimal levels of operational excellence.
Developing and organising weekly events and marketing strategies to drive footfall.
Proactively engage with sponsors to enhance the events and drive revenue
Managing the service charge budget and exploring commercialization opportunities to
enhance visitor experience.
Conduct regular tenant service reviews to maintain high service levels
Address tenant complaints promptly and effectively
Manage pre-move-in and pre-move-out meetings with tenants, overseeing associated
tasks and inventories
Conduct audits across health and safety, fire, and other risk assessments
Review and enhance all internal operational processes, continually assessing the
Centre and making recommendations for improvement
Experience and skills required:
Energetic personality, enthusiasm, and passion for the role, coupled with strong
leadership/management skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
5+ years of operational experience in a client-facing industry
Exposure in a retail shopping Centre environment is preferred. A commercial
Facilities Manager, Retail Operations or Area Manager will be considered.
Experience in managing budgets, raising annual income, and bringing innovative
ideas.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proficient in H&S regulations and facilities management
Ability to excel in a fast-paced operational environment, adapting quickly to
changing demands
Stakeholder/senior Management relationship management
Excellent business acumen, and a commercial outlook
