Job description

The DTC On retail fleet is expanding and has big ambitions. We're looking for a confident Retail Design Lead to help us take Retail to the next level.
The Retail Design Lead for the Americas will be building and leading a team of Retail Designers and architects to deliver On stores. The role reports to and works in collaboration with the Head of Retail Design, working directly with and in partnership with the Retail Operations, Real Estate, Visual Experience, and Construction teams.
You will combine your design expertise with project management and leadership skills to play a critical role in new store openings in the Americas, open the door to On's next growth phase, address future trends in design, technology and human behavior. You will be tasked with creating the next generation in On's retail environments.
Your Mission
- Lead a team of creative thinkers and doers to build iconic retail experiences in line with On's values and mission of igniting the human spirit through movement.
- Lead and direct the design and execution of store design projects in the Americas. Manage project forecasts, design schedules and team capacity with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Operations, DTC, Construction, Procurement, Visual Merchandising, Campaigns and other business units throughout the organization to implement and execute strategies, initiatives and policies that support the wider business goals
- Manage regional architecture consultants and key vendors to deliver project on time and on budget
- Engage and align team and stakeholders to understand process, timelines, dependencies, roles and responsibilities and measures of success
- Improve overall ways of working by creating and maintaining workflows, processes, RACIs, and other operational resources, to improve efficiency and standards of operation within the Retail Design Americas team
Your Story
- Degree and 10+ years in architectural or design field, with at least 5 in retail industry
- Inspiring leader with minimum 5 years managing & fostering a creative culture
- Experience working with multidisciplinary brand, marketing, construction teams, and diverse business stakeholders
- Organizational wizard with a successful track record within an entrepreneurial & high-growth environment managing tight deadlines and multiple projects. Ability to juggle changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Track record of successfully delivering multiple projects from start to finish on time and within budget
- Experience working with Microsoft 365, Google Suite, Slack, Smartsheet and other project management tools
- Efficient, confident and highly effective communicator, both written and verbal

Typical cash compensation range for this position inclusive of base + bonus: $116,880 - $146,100. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including experience, industry knowledge, qualifications, skill set, and location. Certain roles may be eligible for equity compensation in addition to cash compensation.
