Job Description
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies that meet sales and marketing objectives
- Delivery of sales-focused market, competitor, and retailer top-line insights
- Ongoing Commercial Planning & Strategic Analysis
- Reporting ownership on key metrics: understand business needs and translate them into dashboards and tools
- Support Key Sales Event Planning/Reviewing
- External Stakeholder Interactions - exchanging insights with our key retail partners
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
- Gathering critical information for meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
- Analyse sales data and forecast future demand.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote products and special deals.
- Train retail associates on product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure product presentation is in line with the company's standards.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Retail Merchandiser should have:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail merchandising or Business Analytics roles.
- Strong knowledge of retail industry trends and market dynamics.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Advanced technical skills in Retail Analytics tools (SQL / Qlik Cloud / PowerBI etc.)
- Experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Experience in leading / mentoring teams.
- A history of leading and supporting change in ambiguous environments.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Autonomous and able to manage own workload whilst also offering support to the wider team.
- Must be willing to travel to various locations as and when required.
