We are looking for a Retail Planner to join our Buying and Merchandising team.
What you can expect:
Inventory Control
  • Maintain rolling forecast across stores and distribution centers (full price, outlets and ecomm) to maximize stock efficiency and provide overview of risks and opportunities to Northern Hub and EMEA management
  • Collaborate with Hub wholesale teams to track seasonal flow into retail stock (returns and cancelled orders) for full price, outlets and ecomm.
  • Lead monthly inventory meeting in collaboration with wholesale, ecomm and logistics
  • Report on inventory KPIs (value, turn and depreciation) and share with finance and leadership team
  • Compare with Outlet planned production to ensure no overstocks & identify any deviance from plan
  • Prepare options for Hub for excess stocks e.g. B2B opportunities, Black Friday.
  • Monitor New Old Stock (NOS) stock levels to ensure retail and wholesale keep to planned sales levels.

Markdown Planning
  • Work on Price Reductions plans with retail merchandising considering previous performance, EMEA Omnichannel plans and market factors
  • Align with finance on markdown spent by channel, month and point of sales
  • Collaborate with merchandising and retail team to make sure the plan is clear, realistic and in line with seasonal promotion calendar
  • Flag variances to plan in-season and highlight need for changes to finance

Biannual Format Strategy
  • Use analysis to identify risks and opportunity by country, store and brand/gender/line prior to meetings, discuss with merchandising and retail
  • Take detailed notes during format strategy and follow up with planned changes, including any short-term changes with the buying and planning teams

Quarterly Finance Planning
  • Maintain Net Sales data for brand/gender/line by store by month for 5 year plan, 4 times a year across full price, outlets and online (align with ecomm team)
  • Sense-check individual store budgets with retail and finance considering store space and missed commercial/product opportunities
  • Ensure plans are aligned with Business Units and MD strategies, EMEA buying initiatives and store refurbishment plans

Quarterly Buys
  • Sense check buys by BGL/collection/point sale are in line with Format plans (order list review)
  • Run orderbook by collection/country down to product category
  • Support Buyers & Merchandisers for Flexing (option and spent by store by BGL)
  • Review OTB plans on seasonal product in conjunction with EMEA team

Other In Season Tasks
  • NOS demand reforecasting on hub level to align with EMEA planning needs
  • Outlet NOS/Fashion production demand check against finance budget and highlight opportunities/risks
  • Review open to buy (OTB) for Northern Hub countries on seasonal product in conjunction with EMEA team
  • Attend monthly lease meetings with store construction/property for any amendments in order to react to any gaps on sales and buy

Your profile:
  • Strong at prioritizing workload and with a flexible attitude to change in priorities.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills Understand and represent the brand values.
  • Highly organized and professional.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills and solution-orientated thinking.
  • Advanced computer skills: Excel is essential. Good PowerPoint, SAP and BIS knowledge ideal
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
