What you'll do
You will be a key member of the Retail Recruitment Team, with accountability for the efficient running of the end-to-end recruitment operation for recruitment for retail management roles. Your role will encompass supporting the delivery of the recruitment strategy and priorities, designing and implementing a blend of proactive and reactive initiatives to attract top talent, and ensuring a positive and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. You will manage a team of Recruitment Leads and Recruiters, fostering a high-performance culture and driving best practices amongst hiring managers to position Sainsbury's as an employer of choice.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in driving strategic improvements, optimising recruitment metrics, managing risks, and resolving complex recruitment queries or escalations. Your focus will also extend to promoting diversity and inclusion, nurturing a proactive sourcing function, analysing recruitment data, engaging with third-party agencies, and continuously enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process through the use of technology and automation. Moreover, you will contribute to the growth and development of your team and advance your own knowledge and skills in the recruitment market, industry insights, and candidate behaviour to further establish the reputation and brand of recruitment as a Centre of Excellence within HR and the wider business.
Who you are
You are a highly experienced recruitment professional with a deep understanding of the food retail sector and its specific challenges. You possess a strong knowledge of recruitment practices, technology, and systems, allowing you to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end recruitment process. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you build strong relationships with hiring managers and external partners, ensuring a positive candidate experience. Your analytical mindset and ability to interpret data allow you to make informed decisions, identify trends, and continuously improve recruitment metrics. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, you empower your team and peers to enhance their recruitment knowledge and practices, driving excellence across the team. Your passion for talent acquisition, curiosity about the external market, and knowledge of best-in-class attraction techniques contribute to the success of our Retail Recruitment strategies.
