Retail Sales Training Manager

Our client has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a highly target driven Retail Sales Training Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position and will see you joining a well-established and growing mobile phone solutions company.

About our client

They have a network of over fifty stores UK wide as well as a busy call centre in Bracknell and two successful retail trading websites. They have been an established phone retailer, trading on the High Street since the 1990’s. Approaching a customer base of nearly half a million. They have contracts with major network operators such as Three and Vodafone and believe in offering their customers the absolute best customer service at fantastic prices.

The role

Working within the retail team our client is looking for a Retail Sales Training Manager, to work with their franchisee Network which is geographically spread across the UK. The role will encourage, coach, and develop performance of store sales staff, driving increased profitability for both the franchisee and our client. Responsible for ensuring compliance as well as great performance, this role needs to be able to influence and educate franchise store staff.

Main Responsibilities

Sales Process & Procedure Development:

  • Design, implement, and optimise sales processes tailored for selling pay monthly mobile phone deals, sim-free mobile phones, accessories, and repairs service to both consumers and business customers.
  • Regularly update sales procedures to reflect market trends, technological advancements, and legislative changes.

Training & Development:

  • Deliver dynamic training sessions to new hires and existing sales teams, ensuring they are equipped with the latest product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Work within their retail stores, in a live environment, to coach and develop sales staff leading by example.
  • Develop a continuous learning environment, incorporating feedback to refine training materials and methods.

Legislative Compliance:

  • Ensure all sales strategies and processes adhere to relevant legislation pertaining to the sale of mobile phones.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and update training materials as needed.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with sales managers and other stakeholders to align on sales goals and strategies.
  • Provide regular updates on training progress, success rates, and areas for improvement.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to inform training materials and sales strategies.

The ideal candidate

For this role, our client is seeking an individual with a proven track record of achieving targets in a competitive face-to-face sales environment, preferably within the retail sector. Essential qualifications include a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful Sales Training, strong analytical and organisational skills, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should also possess a hands-on mentality, actively supporting the team to ensure exceptional results.

Experience in achieving growth targets through effective Sales Training is crucial, showcasing a track record of contributing to overall business success. Effective communication is a key attribute, with the confidence to build and maintain strong working relationships across a geographically spread area.

In addition to these essential qualities, desirable qualifications include specific experience as a Sales Trainer within the mobile phone sector. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the industry's dynamics and challenges. Knowledge of relevant legislation surrounding the sale of mobile phones would also be advantageous, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

SALARY / BENEFITS / HOURS

Salary: OTE £50K - £55K
Salary will be basic and additional commission based on target achievement and other opportunities for additional sales incentives.
28 days holiday per annum including normal bank holidays.
