JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the HR Data Manager, the Reward Analyst will be part of the Head Office team working to support HR teams in all business units to support the development, implementation, analysis and evaluation of Next’s approach to reward and compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support relevant reward/compensation policies, practices and processes that are cost effective which also appeal to the talented individuals we want to attract.
  • Work with Heads of HR to manage the annual salary benchmarking process, working with HR colleagues, business leaders, and survey providers to ensure accurate job matches are made and  to ensure accurate and current benchmarking data is available.
  • Support a fair, inclusive, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and aligns to our company’s strategy and business goals.
  • Lead the research, analysis, and administration of the total reward plans as well as relationship building with external providers, HR and employees. 
  • Ensure that reward plans are linked and supportive of the overall reward strategy. Proposing new, innovative and cost effective ways to enhance employee engagement across Next.
  • Leading on the design, development and embedding of job evaluations, using previous experience in job analysis and evaluation schemes. Prepare job descriptions, job analysis, and  job evaluations.
  • Carry out end to end external salary benchmarking and participate in benefit surveys to ensure that the team has access to up-to-date market data. Making recommendations and providing practical solutions that suit all areas of Next.
  • Support with legislation/governance changes that impact reward and benefit plans to develop recommendations as appropriate.
  • Support the Reward team with key activities and processes around Gender Pay Gap

About you 

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in the application of Reward policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to design and implement processes and projects that align with the operations of the business.
  • Knowledge and experience of Gender Pay Gap
  • Communication skills: Providing clear and accurate guidance to the Team on Reward-related issues. Therefore, it is important you are able to convey information both orally and in writing to employees, senior-level HR professionals, and other key stakeholders.
  • Project Management and Organisational skills: The role will interface with applicants, employees, and external contacts. You must be able to organise and prioritise your tasks and projects on time.
  • Strong understanding of Google Workspace: in particular Google Sheets, Google Forms and a willingness to help others within the Google Suite.
