Job description

Location(s): UK, Europe & Africa : UK : Guildford
BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is home to 4,500 digital, cyber and intelligence experts. We work collaboratively across 10 countries to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that governments, nation states, armed forces and commercial businesses can unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments.
The role will spend the majority of their time sharing specialist knowledge and providing support to business facing HR generalists in the Digital Intelligence Sector along with other Reward Advisors and Reward Partners within the Reward Function. The role will work with other Heads of People and People Leads and requires a good depth of understanding of how to influence to operationalise, integrate and deliver Reward projects.
The role holder will have detailed knowledge and bring best practice to BAE Systems. You will be expected to support Reward Managers and HR Leads in the business to help them deliver their Reward agenda to achieve the Company strategic goals.
The role requires an experienced professional within Reward with a strong focus on customer service and ability to interface with the wider HR team and associated stakeholders across the business, with a good understanding of best practice from an internal and external lens. The individual will need to excel at being a Reward Partner and proactively seek out concerns or areas to support the HR teams deliver the people strategy.
The role requires a good understanding and a comprehensive knowledge on the application of Reward processes and procedures. The role will involve a range of more complex activities, requiring the role holder to influence outcomes and conclusions and follow the most appropriate course of action.
Below are typical duties undertaken, however this is not intended to be a fully comprehensive list:
  • Contributes to the development and deployment of overall Reward specialism, best practice policies, processes, governance and supporting tools.
  • Drives utilisation of key tools e.g. SAP or SuccessFactors, able to transfer system knowledge across the Business.
  • Responsible for projects to deliver agreed business and functional outcomes.
  • Contributes to working groups to deliver Centre of Expertise (COE) requirements.
  • Delivers high quality, accurate and efficient end to end services (including services provided by People Services and external third parties).
  • Develops effective and positive relationships with the People Team and other stakeholders within the business as required.
  • Works with other CoE's and other partners to deliver integrated business-focussed solutions.
  • Provides analytical insight and the ability to interpret, manage and manipulate data with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Supports development of framework, governance, education and supporting tools to ensure effective business implementation and delivery including but not all of:-
    • Cyclical Global Employee Value Proposition Activities - Pay Reviews, Incentives,
    • Assessment and evaluation of best practice and process;
Location - This position is hybrid but the Reward team does meet on a regular basis at the office in Guildford so ideally we are looking for someone who resides close to this location
