We are seeking an Operations/ Intelligence Analyst to be part of our client's Regional Information Centre (RIC), based in the UK.
The role is investigative work from open sources and monitoring the RIC at its core. While the role requires intelligence analysis, there is more focus on the requirement to monitor global events, identify concerns, and the escalation of any vital information to the response team to action. Administrative and operational duties are an essential part of the role, which will require you to maintain data systems.
The position is shift based, with the need to work from the client's office, located 16miles southwest of London, in Surrey.
Working pattern is a 12-hour shift rotation of 4 days on/4 days off, working both day and night shifts.

  • Assessment of tactical intelligence sources for immediate impact to the organisation
  • Ability to interpret and use data sources with a good aptitude for analysis and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Broad knowledge of global geopolitical affairs and situational awareness of impacts to the energy sector
  • Ability to quickly understand and use specialist technical platforms and systems
  • Proven ability to prioritise effectively and work well under pressure during emergency response situations
  • Ability to be responsive to changing requirements and priorities and adaptable to unpredictable circumstances
  • Ability to embrace shift/rotation work and lone working overnight
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Robust IT skills, in MS Office and within bespoke software systems
  • Ability to work independently with confident decision-making abilities
  • Meticulous note taking, record keeping and organisation skills
Requirements
  • A minimum bachelor's degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, regional studies, or a related discipline; master's degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable proficiency in working with data and data manipulation tools
  • Experience working withing a Regional Information Centre (RIC) and/or Global Security Operation Centre (GSOC) environment
  • Skills and abilities in open-source intelligence analysis and/or political and security industry trends
  • Ability to be creative to solve complex problems.
  • Self-motivated and a critical thinker.
  • Experience working with highly confidential information.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A team player who works effectively with peers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity and ability to work with global remote teams
