RICS CHARTERED SURVEYOR (Telecoms)

Location: Tunbridge Wells, TN1

Salary: £40k

Position: Permanent – Full Time

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RICS Chartered Surveyor (PQE 2 yrs+) with telecoms to develop a long career at a professional property practice with offices in Sussex and Kent.

You must be able to work independently and autonomously as well as being able to work as part of a busy and successful team.

You will be involved in managing land and buildings across the UK on which telecoms apparatus is installed, provide advice to a wide variety of property owners.

Although having some telecoms experience is welcome, it is not a requirement of the job as training will be offered to the correct candidate on all issues relating to some of the more niche areas of legislation relating to the Telecoms Code.  Instead, you will have a keen interest in all property classes and client types and have a desire to put forward your client’s position well to reach settlements on a wide variety of transactions.  You will be client facing and typically be handling new lettings, rent reviews and agreement renewals.  One minute you might be talking to a farmer on the South Downs or a Camp Site owner in the Cotswolds, the next you might be [safely] on top an iconic building in London or a development site in Manchester.

You will be a keen networker, a confident, resourceful individual and capable of building and maintaining exceptional relationships with colleagues and clients.

You will be expected to liaise closely with clients, their solicitors and agents. You will be consistent, professional and organised, and have good written communications skills.

The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified or have a legal background within the property industry.

Skills: The skills required for this RICS Chartered Surveyor (Telecoms) role will include:

• RICS Registered valuer
• Experience in the telecoms sector preferred
• Driving licence
• Highly motivated individual with a proven ability to drive projects to a successful and timely conclusion
• Strong organisational skills in order to set priorities and be responsive to customer requests
• Multi-tasking abilities and initiative in order to proactively deal with a wide range of queries
• In-depth knowledge of best valuation practices
• Attention to detail/disciplined individual
• A good team player with strong analytical skills
